Alex Bourelly serves as the Washington D.C. Litigation Section Chair. He represents clients in a wide range of criminal and civil investigations and trials, including those involving allegations of securities fraud, healthcare fraud, antitrust violations, violations of the Clean Water Act, FCPA and ITAR. He has led internal corporate investigations and crisis management audits, and advises clients in a variety of industries including banking and finance, real estate, pharmaceuticals, defense contracting, media, transportation, and energy.
Served as an Assistant US Attorney in Washington, DC in the Fraud and Public Corruption and Homicide/Major Crimes sections, having prosecuted more than sixty criminal jury and bench trials and argued eight appellate matters in both state and federal courts. Served as senior counsel in the SEC’s Division of Enforcement, responsible for cases involving insider trading, market manipulation and accounting fraud. Recognized as Securities Docket 2020 Best and Brightest as well as a leading white collar lawyer by key securities and other legal directories. Was also named by Securities Docket to its "Enforcement 40 for 2017."
