Alejandro has extensive experience in domestic and international arbitration under ICC, CRECIG, CENAC and CAM-CCBC rules. He has represented clients in arbitration cases in disputes involving software and technology, energy, oil, construction and automotive industries. He has also acted as Arbitrator in financial, software and construction disputes.
Alejandro’s experience has developed in complex and multi-party international commercial disputes. He has represented mining projects with investments of more than US $ 2 billion in Guatemala and hydroelectric projects (over 430 MW) in constitutional actions related to human rights and compliance with the ILO Convention (No.169). He currently represents one of the leading banks and other financial institutions of Guatemala in complex debt collection cases.
Alejandro is part of the list of arbitrators for both Arbitration Centers in Guatemala (CENAC and CRECIG), and also a Professor of Civil and Commercial Procedure in Universidad del Istmo, Guatemala.
