Alejandro is dedicated exclusively to dispute resolutions. He has more than 10 years of experience in domestic and international arbitration and litigation and focuses his practice advising leading clients in commercial, financial, construction, intellectual property, constitutional, energy and mining disputes as well as complex debt collection and white collar criminal litigation. He is regularly appointed as arbitrator in financial and construction disputes and most recently in telecommunications and software arbitrations.
Alejandro has acted as lead counsel in three major ICC arbitrations in the energy sector, and is currently serving as arbitrator in a major international construction case. Also, he has represented mining projects with investments of more than US $ 2.8 billion in Guatemala and hydroelectric projects (over 430 MW) in constitutional actions related to human rights and compliance with the ILO Convention (No.169).
Alejandro is named in the list of Arbitrators in the two arbitration centers of Guatemala (CENAC and CRECIG).
