Alberto advised Rio Energy in negotiating to acquire Portocem Project, a 1 giga MW greenfield thermoelectrical project in Ceará.

He represented Ponte Nova Energia and other partners in BR Distribuidora's bid process to acquire thermoelectrical projects (PPA) in Northeast Brazil.

He also advised Invenergy in the negotiation of a co-investment in Contour Global do Brasil Holding Ltda., in collaboration with a FIP managed by Patria, and in the negotiation of an agreement for the Operation and Maintenance of the wind farms by the Brazilian subsidiary of Invenergy.

Alberto is a Corporate/M&A partner and has been a member of Vieira Rezende since 2000. He has extensive experience in corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, contracts, and infrastructure projects. He represented several domestic and foreign clients in acquisitions, cross-border transactions, joint venture formation, and corporate restructurings, especially in the Energy and Oil, Gas & Offshore areas.

Alberto also has relevant experience in project finance and infrastructure project development (including Greenfields), especially concerning construction and other infrastructure-related contracts. Recently, he has worked on several M&A transactions in the Oil & Gas sector, assisting clients in bids in the Petrobras Divestment process.
