Alberto is Counsel of the Energy team at Addleshaw Goddard Spain. His practice is focused on corporate and regulatory law. His main area of specialization is energy, in particular renewables and gas, but he also advises on other regulated sectors such as water, environment, and gaming. In the last few years, he has advised some of the leading operators of the energy Iberian markets as well as several international investors (including foreign utilities and E&I funds).
Alberto combines his practice in regulated sectors (public contracts, project development, and regulatory issues) with wide-ranging expertise in corporate and commercial law, including M&A, corporate restructuring, joint ventures agreements, shareholders' agreements, due diligence processes, which allows him to approach matters from a transactional and non-transactional perspective.
Some of the clients he has advised include, among others, EDP Group, EKZ, MAPFRE, Galp, and Mytilineos.
