He advises large, vertically integrated, electric utility companies who own a diverse mix of generation resources and own and operate integrated regional transmission systems. A focus area of his practice involves serving owners and operators of nuclear generation facilities. He also represents large natural gas purchasers and shippers, investment funds focused on the utility sector, and parties entering into wholesale power transactions and transmission service agreements.
Alan focuses on regulatory and commercial issues surrounding new nuclear development, the operation of existing nuclear plants, and sites undergoing decommissioning. He represents nuclear owners and operators in licensing and other regulatory matters before the NRC and state public service commissions. Alan also represents nuclear facility owners in negotiation and administration agreements for new nuclear development, operating fleet outage and maintenance work, mergers and acquisitions, and decommissioning and waste stream risk management.
