Agustín Duarte

Agustín Duarte is a senior associate at Beccar Varela, having joined the firm in 2005.

His practice areas include Insurance and Reinsurance Law, advising clients in regulatory, corporate and litigation matters. He also has broad expertise in corporate law, liability and tort law, and consumer law.

He has represented clients in transactions such as the formation and sale of insurance companies, and the transfer and sale of customer portfolios. He daily assists insurers and brokers in their interactions with the governmental agencies, and represents clients in judicial proceedings related to major accidents and class actions.

Agustín obtained his Law degree from Universidad Católica Argentina (2000) and his LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from the Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law (Dallas, USA, 2015). In addition, he worked as a foreign associate at Hunton & Williams LLP (Miami, USA, 2015). Prior to joining Beccar Varela, he worked at Fornieles & del Carril Abogados, and Estudio Bulló.

He is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association, the International Bar Association and the International Insurance Law Association.

He speaks Spanish and English.
