Adrianne Ortega

Adrianne Ortega is a partner in the health care and educational institutions practices and co-leader of the firm’s public finance practice. Adrianne advises health care and higher education clients on strategic transactions, capital financings, and governance and regulatory matters.

Clients turn to Adrianne to structure and negotiate their most significant transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic affiliations, joint ventures, spin-off and alignment strategies, restructurings, managed care contracting and value-based care arrangements, and business transactions. Adrianne is also advising health care, higher education and research institution clients in the area of innovation, including the development of innovation platform structures and internal investment vehicles, joint ventures, affiliated venture funds, and related transactions.

Adrianne has extensive experience advising clients on nonprofit corporate governance and conflict of interest matters. She also regularly advises on health care regulatory matters, including the Stark law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA privacy and security rules, corporate practice of medicine, and telehealth laws.

In addition, as co-leader of the firm’s public finance practice, Adrianne routinely serves as borrower’s, underwriter’s and disclosure counsel to leading health care, higher education, and other nonprofit institutions on taxable and tax-exempt financings.
