Sarie-Eldin & Partners was established by Dr. Hani Sarie-Eldin in 2007 to provide first rate effective legal services and advice. ■Advising the Aga Khan Foundation on the restructuring of its microfinance activities

■Advising CIB, HSBC, Arab Bank, and Credit Agricole Egypt re. syndicated facilities package of EGP 2.5 Billion granted to Coca Cola Bottling Company of Egypt
■Acting as a legal counsel to National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and other leading banks in a syndicated facility of up to EGP 2.4 billion granted to International Oil Multi Seeds Extraction Company (OILEX)
■Acting as a legal counsel to Banque Misr and other lenders, in relation to Islamic Murabha finance of up to EGP 1.5 billion to Industrial Investment Company S.A.E
■Acting as a legal counsel to Etisalat Misr in relation to a syndicated facility of up to EGP 6 billion
■Acting as a legal counsel Etisalat Misr in relation to a facility of up to $300 million
■Acting as a legal counsel ADIB Capital, Banque Misr, and other banks in relation to Islamic Musharkah facility of up to EGP 900 million to Al-Marasem International for Development Company
■Acting as a local legal advisor for Pirelli Industrial in relation to senior facilities of up to EUR 600 million
■Acting as a legal counsel to Banque Misr and other lenders, in relation to a syndicated facility of up to USD 42.86 million and EGP 64.125 million to Scatec Solar ASA
■Acting as a legal counsel to Commercial International Bank, in relation to a facility of up to EGP 1 billion to Madinet Nasr for Housing and Development.
■Representing National Bank of Egypt, Misr Iran Bank and other lenders in relation to the EGP 510 million facility to El Markaby Steel Company
■Representing National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Banque Misr in relation to a syndicated facility package up to EGP 3 billion to Majid Al Futtaim Properties Egypt (MAFP – Egypt) for the establishment of Mall of Egypt and the spin-off of the project in a new company
■Representing Commercial International Bank CIB Banque Misr and other lenders in relation to the USD 328 million for Egypt Hydrocarbon Corporation S.A.E ‘EHC’ to fund part of the investment cost of the construction of an ammonium nitrate plant
■Representing Ahli United Bank in relation to medium term loan agreement to Saudi Egyptian Touristic Development Co. to finance the existing facilities and the renovations of Hotel ‘Grand Hyatt’ Garden City ■Representing Banque Misr, NBE, Banque du Cairo and other lenders in relation to a syndicated long-term loan facility agreement to El Nahda for Industries S.A.E to partially finance the investment cost of the establishment and operation of a cement company

Public Private Partnerships (PPP):
■Advising the Ministry of Transport re. the tender process of 6th of October Dry Port PPP Project with a value of USD 100M
■Advising the Ministry of Supply regarding the feasibility study and tender process of the modernisation of the commercial register project
■Advising the Ministry of Education and the PPP Central Unit-on the first of its kind project in the education sector in Egypt- on the financing, construction and utilisation of a number of schools

Governmental Consultancy:
■Advising the government (Ministry of Transport) on the rail way sector reform
■Advising the main development company at Suez Canal Economic Zone on the drafting of template contracts with customers within the zone
■Advising the Ministry of Transport & Ministry of Housing re. the tender process of the Monorail Project with a total of USD 4.5Billion

Arbitration:
In 2019, the firm handled around three arbitration cases before ICC and CRCICA re. construction of infrastructure, debt and transport for a total exceeding USD 2Billion

Infrastructure, Real Estate & Energy:
Assisting the Egyptian National Railways Authority in collaboration with the World Bank in setting the strategy for a comprehensive reform of the railway sector with the purpose of enhancing its operational and financial performance.

Trade & Services & Competition Law:
■Providing legal services for Union for Leather Co. on the study conducted by the Egyptian Competition Authority in the leather market
■Providing legal services for Cairo Poultry Company on the study conducted by the Egyptian Competition Authority in the poultry market
■Advising Egypt Foods on internal and external legal matters including labour law, licenses and distributors’ contracts
■Providing legal services to Universal Group in respect to the restructuring of the company

Litigation:
■Represented a top investment company in an investigation where they were wrongly accused of receiving funds from the public for investments. The firm’s team handled the defence and attended investigations in the case. The case has successfully been dismissed by order of the General Prosecutor
■Settled a dispute for a top agriculture and livestock company in respect to the sale of their shares amounting EGP 56.5 million to a dairy company
■Represented a top automotive manufacturer in a dispute with Banque Misr and Banque du Caire, concerning a debt amounting EGP 200 million du Caire, concerning a debt amounting EGP 200 million
