Dispute Resolution:
The highly regarded litigation group has a wealth of knowledge and the skills to litigate and arbitrate in a manner that best promotes clients’ objectives. The team provides advice and representation across a broad range of international and Bermuda based disputes and regularly acts in large scale commercial, insolvency and trust litigation cases in the Supreme Court and at appellate levels. Whether the team are involved in litigation or arbitration, the attorneys give priority to the provision of professional, practical and timely advice and utilise alternative dispute resolution techniques where possible.
Recent work includes:

Employment & Immigration:
Members of the employment, immigration and labour relations team have extensive experience advising on all aspects of complex employment and industrial relation issues. MJM attorneys offer advice in the immigration field, handling all aspects of work permit applications and employment transfers, Bermuda status, nationality and residency applications, immigration related property ownership issues and appeals to the Government and to the Courts. MJM Attorneys also regularly act for established insurers and reinsurers with regards to complex employment and immigration matters connected with mergers and acquisitions.

Private Client:
Attorneys in this private client team offer pragmatic and responsive advice and are well-qualified to assist clients in achieving efficient long term estate, succession, wealth and tax planning and/or to promote philanthropic objectives. The team make use of private wealth-holding and management structures, including private trust companies and Bermuda law trusts (often involving underlying corporate and partnership structures) and routinely advise institutional trustees (domestic and foreign) on matters involving Bermuda law issues as well as trust and estate beneficiaries and trust protectors.

Property :
MJM’s property team is dedicated to assisting with all residential and commercial property acquisitions and sales (freehold and leasehold), mortgages and other property related transactions. Projects and transactions include residential, condominium, resort, industrial, commercial, hotel, office, estate planning structures and retail properties.
