Corporate, Commercial & M&A:

The firm’s corporate practice advises customers with end-to-end consultancy for the drafting, follow-up and negotiation of any type of business contract. With expert advice on incorporation of offshore companies and offices, shareholder agreements, mergers and acquisitions, dissolution and liquidation of corporations, trusts, agreements, review and negotiation, compliance, corporate due diligence, business partner screening (BPCS) of natural persons, real estate, tax consulting, consultancy services for boards of directors and shareholders, migration consultancy services and procedures, labour, international trade, multijurisdictional negotiation, maritime law and notarial services.

Banking, Insurance & Financial Law:
The firm manages all regulations concerning structure and functioning of banking entities, both public and private, as well as financial operations with your clients and with other financial entities. Also merger and acquisitions for banking institutions, consultancy regarding insurance and primary/secondary financial market operations, processing of requirements before the diverse legislative entities, agreements and consultancy, trusts, compliance, local, international and syndicated bank loans, securitisations, investment funds, drafting of codes of ethics, policies and other procedures, as well as support in drafting compliance manuals, assessment for the risk management of money laundering, funding of terrorism, and corruption of financial and insurance systems, and assessment and training for compliance-related departments (officials and committees).

Foreign Investment:
Legal advice on international business and commercial agreements regarding energy, telecommunications, ports and airports, real estate, tourism, franchises, free-trade zones, banking and insurance.

Intellectual Property:
Advice on trademark and copyrights. LatinAlliance experts enforce the protection of your intellectual property, including patents, brands, literary and artistic works, industrial designs and geographical indications. Also, it will assist on the development of licensing programs, protection of brands, trade names and commercial slogans, product branding and register of trade names, slogans, among others, and patent registry. Clients receive assistance from only one power of attorney per country addressed to the same firm.

Product Regulatory:
The product regulatory department has specialised in the life sciences industry. With LatinAlliance, one receives a swift and timely regulatory process for certification and approval so one's product can be ready to be quickly incorporated in both international and national markets. Experts will help with the regulations regarding a wide range of products including: medication, medical devices, foods, cosmetic and hygiene products, chemical substances for technical use, veterinary products and agrochemical products.

Litigation & Arbitration:
The firm provides its clients with preventive solutions to avoid going to court through negotiation, conciliation, settlement and arbitration processes. Furthermore, the firm provides consultancy for legal processes in court, preparing personalised defence strategies to respond to conflicts in the following fields: civil, labour, judicial review, constitutional, local and international commercial arbitration, negotiation and settlement.
