Main Areas of Practice:
King & Spalding provides legal services for domestic and non-US banks and other financial institutions. It handles all aspects of credit facilities and financial products and houses an internationally recognised Islamic finance practice.

King & Spalding attorneys have substantial experience advising clients on complex international and cross-border transactions and are familiar with the political, economic and cultural complexities of negotiating and structuring cross-border acquisitions and the obstacles encountered while doing business on a global scale.

King & Spalding’s energy attorneys advise clients (sponsors, operators and lenders) on a broad spectrum of energy and natural resource transactions and matters worldwide, including oil and gas, LNG, power, mining, renewables, acquisition agreements, transportation (pipeline and marine) agreements, farmout agreements, drilling and other service contracts. As one of the largest healthcare practices in the country, King & Spalding has received national acclaim for excellence in transactional, litigation and regulatory representation of clients across the spectrum of healthcare.

The firm’s IP lawyers acquire, create, licence, protect and litigate intellectual property rights, both domestically and internationally. King & Spalding’s international trade group handles a wide range of international trade and customs matters for US and non-US clients.

Two key areas of practice for the group are the representation of US and non-US manufacturers in international trade proceedings outside the United States and the representation of governments in dispute settlement proceedings before the World Trade Organisation (WTO) in Geneva.

King & Spalding provides litigation services in the areas of antitrust, appellate, class action, commercial litigation, environmental law, labour and employment, product liability, shareholder and securities litigation, trade and customs and toxic tort.
