Mergers & Acquisitions & Joint Ventures:

Extensive experience dealing with negotiation and contest of mergers and acquisitions, asset sales and purchases, election contests, tender and exchange offers, going-private transactions, LBOs, MBOs, spin-offs, corporate governance matters and related transactional and advisory matters.

International Employment, Immigration & Workforce Strategies:

Advises multinational employers on proactive strategies for international assignments, visas, work permit filings, tax, employment law, and other issues related to the transfer of people around the world, defence and prosecution of employment-related litigation, executive compensation and employee benefits, global equity services and pension funds.

Energy & Infrastructure:

Provides full-cycle counsel to international infrastructure and energy clients from turn-key project development and redevelopment, to financing, implementation, operation, and maintenance.

Antitrust & Competition:

Experience includes conducting antitrust audit and self-assessments; devising compliance programmes; advising on national and super-national merger control rules and the effect of competition law on company acquisitions or disposals; assisting with investigations by the OFT, the European Commission and other national or sectoral regulators.

International Litigation & Arbitration:

Recognised as leaders in the international arena, managing parallel proceedings in foreign courts while trying litigation matters in the US and litigating matters involving international arbitrations.

Regulatory & Compliance:

Advises on the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, asset recovery, extraterritorial application of US law, complex multijurisdictional and conflict of law disputes, and the enforcement of foreign judgments. Intellectual Property & Technology: Development of global IP strategies, including registration and protection of patents, trademarks and copyrights, negotiation of technology licensing and transfer agreements; and due diligence support on IP matters during merger and acquisition activities.

White Collar Defence & Special Investigations:
