Capital Markets:

Davis Polk’s capital markets group is one of the world’s most experienced in advising issuers and underwriters on a wide range of debt, equity and structured product transactions throughout Europe and around the world. The group operates across all major industries. The firm’s lawyers regularly work on transactions involving companies with or seeking a stock listing on the London Stock Exchange, Frankfurt Stock Exchange, Euronext Amsterdam, Euronext Paris, Nasdaq Stockholm, Nasdaq Copenhagen, the Spanish Stock Exchange and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, among others, as well as advising European companies with or seeking a listing on the New York Stock Exchange or Nasdaq. The debt capital markets team in Europe has been advising on debt issuances throughout Europe for over 30 years and has completed debt transactions for issuers from over 20 European countries.

Mergers & Acquisitions:
Davis Polk regularly advises companies, financial sponsors and financial advisers on major European transactions. These include mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures in a wide range of industries. The European M&A practice consists of a team of English, French and US qualified lawyers, which enables the firm to efficiently and effectively advise on complex cross-border deals. Many of the firm’s deals are in non-US jurisdictions and involve a crossborder element.
