Recent developments of the firm include:

• The addition of Andreas Pierotic as of counsel and the launch of the Asian Capabilities practice, Andreas has spent a 20-year career in commercial and legal matters with Asia and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

• The addition of an outstanding Life Sciences team, led by new partner Andrea Abascal. With broad administrative law and regulatory law matters, she is also leading the Public Law and Regulatored Markets practice.

• The launch of an Intellectual Property, Data and Technology practice led by new partner, Manuel Bernet.

• The incorporation of Tomás Pérez, partner in charge of restructuring and relaunching the Litigation practice of Bofill Mir Abogados. In a few months, a team of five experienced lawyers was formed.

• In addition, in August 2023 Manfred Zink was added to the team as a Director in Antitrust. He counts, among others, with a decade of experience holding various positions at the Chilean antitrust agency (Fiscalía Nacional Económica).

• The Mining and Natural Resources practice has been strengthened with the appointment of two new partners, Alina Bendersky and Francisco Ducci, and the Corporate/M&A and Financing area has been boosted with the appointment of partner Feliciano Tomarelli. They all share in common their postgraduate degrees from leading US universities and their extensive work in cross-border transactions.

• International Internship Programme: The launch of an out-of-the-box programme to promote and support their lawyers to undertake internships in leading firms, initially focused on Latin American jurisdictions. This is to encourage professional and cultural exchange while their lawyers acquire new tools, their commitment and talent is recognised and they open their doors for lawyers from other countries to live thsi experience at Bofill Mir Abogados' offices.
