The firm has a team specially dedicated to provide general corporate advice to its clients, both national and foreign, who set up and operate in the country, offering legal assistance in all aspects related to the operation of the company, its contractual relationships, reorganisations, acquisitions, transformations and, in general, in all the challenges that arise in the day to day operation of a company. BSVV also provides specialised advice on mergers and acquisitions, in all phases of the process that these types of agreements involve, from the preliminary treaties or negotiations and the complete legal audit or due diligence process.
Public, Regulatory and Environment:
BSVV advises clients in all aspects related to the Environmental Impact Assessment System, the relationship and negotiation with communities, litigation, administrative disputes, due diligence processes, territorial regulations and environmental responsibility and obtaining permits. BSVV also has a team specially dedicated to regulatory matters and administrative procedures, before the Office of the Contraloría General de la República, the Constitutional Court, ordinary courts of justice, the Public Procurement Tribunal and various Superintendencies, in tariff regulation, sanctioning procedures, legislative advice, among other areas of public law.
The firm has represented clients in bilateral and syndicated loans; public and private offers and placements of capital and debt, local and international; securitisations and project financing.
Labour & Employment Law:
BSVV provides specialised advice to national and foreign companies on all types of legal issues related to human resources and labour relations, addressing collective bargaining processes, labour disputes and litigation and relationships with the authorities.
Mining & Natural Resources:
BSVV has a large experience in advising mining companies, both Chilean and foreign, in all stages of the project and its implementation, to the exploration phase, the start of its activities and full operation, until the end of its useful life with the site closure.
The firm advises national and foreign market actors in the generation, transmission and distribution of energy. The members of this team have participated in the development, construction, operation and financing of hydroelectric, solar photovoltaic, wind and thermoelectric power plants, among others.
Litigation & Arbitration:
The firm has a team of lawyers specialised in the resolution of civil and commercial conflicts before the Ordinary Courts of Justice, Courts of Appeals and Supreme Court.
