THE FIRM
Founded over 55 years ago, Anthony Gold is a multi-specialist firm based in London but with a national reputation. It has one of the largest specialist social housing teams and takes on complex litigation involving the rights of social housing tenants and leaseholders. The team was heavily involved in the aftermath of the Grenfell Tower fire and represents a client due to give key evidence to the public inquiry. The firm also works for clients in private housing cases, including owners of new-build homes with substandard workmanship. One partner co-drafted the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act, which became law last year, to make sure rented houses and flats are safe, healthy and free from things that could cause serious harm. The team also brought a successful group action on behalf of residents of a south London estate where the flats had fire safety defects and many disrepair issues.

The practice’s personal injury team has particular expertise in catastrophic brain and spinal cord injury, amputation claims, psychiatric injury and other high-value or complex cases, while its clinical negligence team is known for claims involving cerebral palsy and brain, spinal cord, orthopaedic and psychiatric injuries. The team were crowned ‘Catastrophic Injury Team of the Year’ at the 12th annual Personal Injury Awards in November 2019. The awards recognise those firms who have provided excellence in the services they offer to those who have suffered life changing injuries.

Anthony Gold also has strong private client services, including one of the most highly regarded mediation and collaborative family law services.
