The Dispute Resolution practice in Bucharest is a major contributor to the success of the Wolf Theiss Bucharest office in both turnover and complexity of high-profile legal advice.
The main areas of expertise for the Dispute Resolution team are investment arbitration, international commercial arbitration and white-collar crime whilst high value, international commercial litigation, including cross border insolvency, is the solid foundation of the entire practice. The team manages a portfolio of arbitration and litigation cases of over EUR 300 million. Sanctions litigation cases pertaining to the effects of the war in Ukraine have substantially added to the practice and specific expertise of the team.

Within the Wolf Theiss Bucharest office litigation practice, particular expertise has been developed in construction EU law, IP/IT, tax (domestic and cross border application of the VAT and customs duties regimes), insolvency, public procurement, employment, a diversified portfolio of enforcement cases with specific procedures carried out in the renewable energy, shipping industry (including ship arrest warrants), in a variety of industries including energy, financial services, gaming, construction and infrastructure.
