The department has a robust Alternative Dispute Resolution team with three Fellows of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and two Chartered Arbitrators of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Kenya and UK, each specializing in different aspects of ADR. It also has Accredited Mediators and is therefore able to offer holistic and tailored advice on the best dispute resolution avenues available to each set of disputes.

The department has a track record in precedent setting tax disputes having recently successfully represented an edible oil manufacturer in the Tax Appeals Tribunal.
