Overview
Stearns Weaver Miller’s Real Estate Department represents developers, investors and others in all areas of residential and commercial real estate. Projects include office buildings, shopping centers, healthcare facilities, hotels, mixed-use and residential projects.
Stearns Weaver Miller’s team assists with contract preparation and negotiation, project planning and development, financing, construction, and leasing of assets. We assist with sale-leaseback transactions, 1031 exchanges, restructurings, and foreclosures, and dispositions of loans.
Our Commercial Real Estate Lending team represents banks, insurance companies and other institutional lenders with the extension of credit. We assist in negotiating the acquisition, development and construction of the projects and the workout of troubled assets.
Our Land Use/Zoning team counsels clients throughout Florida on structuring deals, executing development strategies and securing entitlements for projects ranging from greenfield developments to urban redevelopment sites. We further support transactions through due diligence reports and drafting, easement agreements, restrictive covenants and the like.
Our Affordable Housing team represents developer clients in developing and financing projects, including equity raised through the syndication of tax credits, tax-exempt bond financing, Fannie/Freddie/FHA loans and other funding sources. We also represent lenders making loans or providing credit enhancement to developers.
