Introduction

Saraf and Partners' Insolvency & Restructuring team has acted for bidders, lenders and insolvency resolution professionals as their advisors in marquee corporate insolvency resolutions since the inception of the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code, 2016.

The Firm’s Founder & Managing Partner, Mr. Mohit Saraf, co-chairs the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) Committee on Stressed Assets.   • Advised ArcelorMittal / Nippon Steel in their acquisition of Essar Steel and Odisha Slurry Pipeline.
  • Advised JSW Steel in their acquisition of Bhushan Power & Steel Limited and Vardhaman Industries.
  • Advised the Resolution Professional during the liquidation of EPC Constructions; assisted in taking over of assets, recovery of receivables and in general litigation to preserve and protect the assets. Advising on action against the defaulting resolution applicant.
