Our IP area is the most important field of practice within the Firm. Leaded by Enrique A. Diaz, Managing partner of Goodrich Riquelme y Asociados and head of the IP practice, we rely on the expertise of more than 30 lawyers, engineers, pharmacobiological chemists, paralegals and administrative staff. 

As a leading IP law firm in the country, we manage the prosecution of over 3500 trademarks and more than 1000 patents per year; regularly filing and handling over 400 litigations in both fields on a yearly basis.

We provide strategies for new potential trademarks and assist our clients during prosecution, filing and answering oppositions, reporting and answering office actions, negotiating letters of consent or coexistence agreements.

Due to recent changes in technology, we are increasingly being called on for assistance in licensing and litigation relating to computer software and social media including take-down requests of providers of on-line services.

We register copyrights and draft agreements between authors and publishers and agreements to assign economic rights to individuals or companies.
