These transactions showcase the department's capabilities in M&A and private equity transactions and its ability to help clients navigate complex financial negotiations and dealings across a wide range of sectors.

The department's experience in project finance is demonstrated by its involvement in the assistance to Standard Chartered Bank PLC on a USD 275 million loan facility to the Ministry of Finance and further the advice to the UK Export Finance on an amendment to a Facility agreement relating to EUR 270,266,043 million term loan facility for the construction of Kabale Airport. This is a unique and significant project as it forms part of the Uganda Government's utilization of the Debt Service Suspension Initiative. Additionally, the department played a critical role in the advice to Standard Chartered Bank and UKEF on a EUR 93,000,000 million Facility relating to the development of the 115 km Kitgum to Kidepo Road in Uganda. These transactions further cement the department's position as a market-leading corporate, banking and project finance team.
