Arnold is a Partner in the corporate department at Engoru, Mutebi Advocates. He holds a Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of Hull, as well as an LL.M in International Economic Law from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom. His focus areas are Banking and Finance, Capital Markets, Energy and Natural Resources law, Project finance, Private Equity and Competition Law.

Work Highlights
(i) Currently advising the Standard Chartered Bank PLC on Euro 255,000,000 commercial and EKN backed facility to the Government of Uganda for the upgrade tourism roads.
(ii) Advised Bank Mendes Gans N.V. (BMG) on the regulatory aspects pertinent to the expansion and rollout of their cash-pooling products portfolio in Uganda.
(iii) Advising the UK Export Credit Agency (UKEF) on the amendment and restatement of the Euro 270,000,000 facility agreement entered into with the Government of Uganda for the construction of Kabaale International Airport.
(iv) Currently advising Uganda Electricity Generation Company Limited’s negotiation of a USD 7.5 million loan from AfriExim Bank to finance the construction of Nyagak III Hydro Project in Zombo District.
(v) Advised Cipla QCIL on strategies to remedy a public float deficiency and ensure compliance with USE Listing Rules.
(vi)Advised Asigma Capital Advisory Services Limited and conducted legal due diligence on eight (8) Tier 4 Microfinance Institutions and Savings and Credit Cooperative Societies (SACCOs) in connection with the Micro and Small Enterprise (MSE) Recovery Fund. This USD 22 million initiative, established by the MasterCard Foundation and supported by Financial Sector Deepening (FSD) Uganda, aims to support growth and resilience in the sector.
(vii) Advised Nano Pay on its application for a no- objection from the Central Bank, in relation to a remittance-based application to support foreign exchange transactions.
(viii) Advised Apple on the regulatory regime applicable to the provision or use of the Apple Mobile satellite service.
