Our Employment team supports clients across the full spectrum of workplace and HR matters, helping them navigate the challenges created by frequent changes to complex employment laws and regulations.

Dentons’ Bratislava office handles a wide variety of contentious and non-contentious employment issues involving both individual employees and collective labor relations. We routinely assist with the drafting, negotiation and termination of employment contracts, employee benefits and remuneration schemes, outsourcing projects, collective redundancies, the conclusion of collective bargaining agreements and labor disputes. We also have strong experience in employment aspects of cross-border reorganizations.

Our team further advises on labor law issues arising in corporate transactions, including workforce restructuring following mergers. We provide post-acquisition support, which commonly includes designing executive compensation and bonus arrangements for management, and we assist clients with employee transfers, employee information and consultation processes, and employment terminations. As part of our due diligence work, we usually review key executives’ contracts and standard employment templates for other staff, and we advise on employee status and on the applicable collective bargaining agreements.
