Dentons

About

Provided by Dentons

Our Employment team provides legal advice on the full range of employment issues helping our clients meet the challenges presented by frequent changes in complex laws and regulations governing employment and workplace conduct.

The Budapest office is experienced in a broad range of contentious and non-contentious issues involving both individual and collective relations. We regularly advise clients on the preparation, negotiation and termination of employment agreements, employee benefits and compensation, outsourcing, large-scale dismissals, the execution of collective bargaining agreements and labor litigation matters. In addition, we are particularly skilled in advising on cross-border reorganizations.

Our team also advises on the labor law aspects of transactions, supports the reorganization of workforces following mergers, provides post-acquisition advice (which typically involves the setting up of executive compensation and bonus structures for management), and advises in respect of the clients’ negotiations relating to the transfer of employees, notification of employees and the termination of employment. In the course of due diligence, we typically review the labor contracts of key executives and the standard form employment contracts for regular employees, and we advise clients on the status of employees, as well as on collective bargaining agreements.
