Key types of work

• Litigation funding - first UK law firm to launch our own litigation fund, Capital Dispute Finance and have financed numerous claims. 
• Trust and tax litigation - Act for Roadchef (Employee Benefits Trust) Limited in respect of numerous separate claims, including a £42m tax dispute with HMRC.
• Judicial review - instructed in 8 judicial review cases over the last 12 months, some of which concerned the COVID-19 pandemic.   
• Shareholder disputes - experts in handling business ownership disputes. We have acted for a range of businesses – from start-ups to law firms, investment management companies – on matters such as unfair prejudice, just and equitable winding up, fraud, reputation management, breach of directors’ duties, and whistleblowing.
• Education sector - we've been appointed to several education legal panels and frameworks to deliver public law and commercial litigation services to universities, further education colleges, and associated organisations, throughout England and Wales. 
• Sport law - we advise top professional sports clubs, including Cardiff City FC on significant disputes of national public interest.
