M&A:

■ Assisting a Macau aviation company in the context of the de-registration, disposal and export of one helicopter and in respect of the change of registration jurisdiction of another aircraft, including advising in all regulatory matters.

■ Advising a Macau holdings company, being the main guarantor of a longstanding financial facility, in the context of settlement with a Macau financial institution following the default by the borrower, a known figure of the Macau hospitality and gaming scene.

Contracts:

■ Assisting a Macau holdings company and its Portuguese subsidiaries in the context of the disposal of several undeveloped urban plots of land in Portugal.

■ Assisting a Macau holdings company and its Portuguese subsidiaries in the extension and re-negotiation of a long standing umbrella agreement with the Municipality of Lisbon for the development of a major area of the City.

■ Assisting a Macau company in the negotiation and setting up of a partnership agreement for the study, development and future marketing, first in Brazil and subsequently in other jurisdictions, of supplements expected to delay and halt the progression of cognitive degenerative diseases.

Corporate:

■ Advising three major technological conglomerates in all legal matters related to compliance with private data protection and labour and employment laws and regulations.

Litigation:

■ Assisting a Japan based gaming supplier Macau gaming-concessionaire in the context of patent infringement litigation in Macau.

■ Assisting a Macau gaming concessionaire, as assistant to the Public Prosecutor, in the context of the criminal prosecution of alleged illegal activities carried out by two junket operators.

Intellectual Property:

■ Assisting a flagship jewellery group in managing all respective Macau trademark portfolio and challenging an adverse decision on patent registration.

Gaming:

■ Advising a Portuguese gaming concessionaire in the litigation that followed the award of its new land-based casino concession.

■ Assisting a Macau holdings company, being the majority indirect shareholder of a Portuguese land-based casino concessionaire and of a Portuguese online gaming licensee, in the context of the re-structuring of their management structure and business operation.
