Yuxin is a partner of Freshfields’ Global Transactions practice based in the Beijing office. He has more than 20 years of experience advising clients on cross-border M&A, joint ventures and other corporate transactions in and outside of China. He worked on many first-of-its-kind transactions in China, such as PayPal’s acquisition of GoPay (the first payment licence for a foreign company), HSBC’s establishment of HSBC Qianhai Securities Limited (the first majority foreign-owned securities company), and Allianz China Insurance Holding (the first and only foreign-owned insurance holding company in China). In 2024, he advised Dalian Wanda on capital restructuring and US$8.3bn investment in its commercial management group, China’s largest private equity transaction in the past five years.
He also has a wide range of experience in advising clients on China’s regulatory issues, such as licensing regimes, financial regulations and data privacy in both transactional and advisory contexts.
Yuxin joined Freshfields in 2007 after working with another leading international law firm for 3 years.
Yuxin is admitted to practise in New York and has passed the PRC bar exam.
