Mr. Hu Yuxiang is Director of the Dispute Resolution Department (with three offices in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen) and Member of the Management Committee at Chance Bridge Law Firm. Specializing in complex commercial dispute resolution, he has represented over 30 large state-owned enterprises (SOEs), central enterprises, financial institutions, and private enterprises in handling various major and difficult cases across courts nationwide over the past decade, with the total subject matter of the cases exceeding RMB 40 billion.
Career
Leveraging his extensive practical experience in commercial and financial dispute resolution, Mr. Hu serves as a perennial legal advisor to many large financial institutions, including China Minsheng Bank Head Office, Century Golden Resources Investment Group, China Reform Securities, CITIC Securities Fixed Income Department, Huarong Huitong Asset Management Co., Ltd., Galaxy Jinhui Securities Asset Management Co., Ltd., and China Reform Holdings Corporation Ltd. He provides unique insights to clients on transaction structure design and risk diagnosis. In 2025, Mr. Hu was selected as a "Golden Lawyer (Civil and Commercial Litigation Field)" by Ping An Group through a rigorous multi-level selection process nationwide.
Mr. Hu excels in handling difficult and complex cases. For example, in 2024, he represented a large bank in a RMB 1.7 billion independent guarantee dispute with a large state-owned enterprise before the Beijing Financial Court. The case involved complex legal and factual issues such as the intersection of criminal and civil liability, apparent agency, and forged official seals. By formulating a highly innovative litigation strategy, Mr. Hu ultimately assisted the bank in achieving a comprehensive victory.

Major Commercial Cases
Represented COFCO Group in defending a series of shareholder liability disputes for damaging company creditors' interests arising from historical foreign investments in the 1990s before the People's Court of Chaoyang District, Beijing. With an involved amount of approximately RMB 100 million, the cases involved complex historical archives and legal issues including fraudulent capital increase, the scope of application and retroactivity of Article 13(3) of the Judicial Interpretation (III) of the Company Law, the restructuring of state-owned enterprises, and interest calculation rules for non-performing financial claims. The plaintiff withdrew the lawsuit after multiple court sessions.
Represented PowerChina Real Estate Group Ltd. in handling a dispute arising from the cooperation between state-owned and private capital, with an involved amount exceeding RMB 100 million. Assisted PowerChina Real Estate Group Ltd. in formulating an arbitration plan and initiated arbitration with the Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC). The case went through procedures such as arbitrator recusal, arbitration suspension, and confirmation of the validity of the arbitration agreement, involving issues including the nature of the legal relationship of "co-investment with equal shares", risk control in the cooperation between state-owned and private capital, and the determination of apparent agency. A full-victory award has been obtained, and the civil lawsuit regarding the associated debtor's debt assumption dispute is currently in the second instance before the Hunan Higher People's Court.
Securities and Asset Management
The first case in China involving the suitability obligation of financial derivatives investors in relation to SIX Swiss Exchange GDRs. Represented China Securities Co., Ltd. in handling the first dispute over the suitability obligation of financial derivatives investors involving SIX Swiss Exchange GDRs with an investor before the Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC). The case involves clarifying the boundaries of the disclosure and explanation obligation and suitability obligation for financial derivatives, and is currently ongoing.
Represented Galaxy Jinhui Securities Asset Management Co., Ltd. in handling a manager liability dispute with a natural person before the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), obtaining a favorable award with partial support for the counterclaim.
Trust
Represented COFCO Trust in defending a retrial case of fiduciary liability dispute involving RMB 100 million in business trust before the Supreme People's Court (SPC), achieving a favorable result.
Represented Ping An Trust in proactively initiating a financial loan contract dispute lawsuit against a leading real estate enterprise in Nanjing before the Guangdong Higher People's Court, and defended the second instance before the SPC. With an involved amount of approximately RMB 2 billion, a favorable judgment has been obtained.
Asset Disposal
Represented China Huarong Capital in providing full-process legal services for three equity-debt investment asset disposition projects involving approximately RMB 4 billion with the controlling shareholder of Zotye Auto and other companies. The services include initiating multiple lawsuits on its behalf and participating in bankruptcy liquidation and restructuring procedures in Beijing, Anhui, Zhejiang and other regions. Currently, the projects involve 5 bankruptcy proceedings, 4 lawsuits, 3 non-litigation project services, 5 substantive consolidation bankruptcy reconsideration or other court objection procedures, and 3 government administrative reconsideration procedures. The projects cover professional issues in numerous fields such as bankruptcy creditor's claim collection, financial loan contract disputes, guarantee contract lawsuits, administrative litigation, non-litigation project management services, and legal advisory services for restructuring plan design and restructuring investment.
Represented China Huarong Rongde in providing full-process legal services including litigation, project restructuring, and bankruptcy for its approximately RMB 1.2 billion asset disposition project with Evergrande Real Estate and its subsidiaries.
Bankruptcy
In the bankruptcy proceedings of 5 companies including Zotye Auto and Tieniu Group, provided comprehensive litigation and special legal services for China Huarong Capital's RMB 4 billion bankruptcy and debt restructuring project. Involving 5 bankruptcy proceedings across 7 companies, the service scope covers asset disposal services such as bankruptcy creditor's claim collection, bankruptcy-derived litigation, non-litigation remedy procedures, litigation collection services, restructuring plan formulation, investment matter handling, investigation of the debtor's asset status, assistance in negotiations, emergency disposal plans, and coordination with asset disposals.
In the bankruptcy restructuring of Jingui Silver Industry Co., Ltd., represented China Galaxy Securities in providing legal services for the bankruptcy restructuring-related financial advisor contract dispute with Jingui Silver Industry Co., Ltd.
