Personal
Mr. Xu has successfully handled various complicated litigation and class action of labor disputes. Mr. Xu is also experienced in the scheme formulation, negotiation and concrete implementation of the plans for employee placement and lay-off in the process of restructuring, relocation, closure, merger, bankruptcy and reorganization of large and medium-sized enterprises. He also provides legal consultation for enterprises on day-to-day legal affairs in relation to all kinds of labor law issues such as labor and employment regulations design and compliance review, document drafting, negotiation, dispute resolution, compliance investigation, etc. Mr. Xu is currently a committee member of the 11th Social Conflicts Resolving Business Research Committee of Shanghai Bar Association.
Work Highlights
Successfully represented a top 500 modeling company in a class action dispute against dozens of employees arising from layoffs;
Successfully represented a globally renowned home improvement retail chain enterprise in a collective disciplinary labor dispute against its employees from various stores around the world;
Successfully represented a globally renowned commodity inspection company in a labor dispute involving the disciplinary discharge of employees, and won the second instance of the case after having lost the arbitration completely;
Successfully handled a nationwide reduction project of a well-known global logistics provider in response to organizational restructuring;
Successfully handled a collective strike of factory employees of a well-known Japanese manufacturing company;
Responsible for and participated in a series of compliance internal audit projects of a global 500 mandatory modeling company.
