Wang Yuan has been engaged in full-time legal practice since 2002.

Over his years of professional experience, Mr. Wang has provided PRC legal services for a multitude of projects covering fund formation and investment, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), initial public offerings (IPOs) and follow-on financings. His practice spans a wide range of industries, including healthcare, automotive, media and entertainment, consumer products, environmental protection, agriculture and manufacturing, among others.

He has accumulated extensive hands-on experience, with a particular focus on private equity funds, M&A, corporate restructuring, IPOs and follow-on financings, as well as cross-border transactions.

Mr. Wang Yuan has led and participated in non-litigation projects including: fund investment projects such as Sequoia Capital China’s equity investments in Betta Pharmaceuticals, CSD Water Service, Angel Medical Holdings, Hero Entertainment and CardInfoLink, Qiming Venture Partners’ equity investments in Hexing Electrical, APT Medical, Rendu Biotechnology and P&P Biotech, E Fund Management’s equity investment in Ant Financial, CITIC Goldstone’s launch of a special-purpose fund to invest in Sinopec Marketing Company, GP Capital’s equity investment in Tianjin Ganghai, and Ping An Innovation Capital’s equity investment in Jiangxi Jinyuan Agriculture; fund formation projects such as the establishment of an agricultural industry fund on behalf of CITIC Agriculture, and the launch of the Xi’an Aerospace New Energy Fund, Shanghai Cultural Industry Fund and Hefei Emerging Industry Fund on behalf of Haitong Capital; capital markets projects such as Spring Airlines’ A-share initial public offering on the Main Board and its corporate bond issuance, Tigermed’s A-share initial public offering on the ChiNext Board, SAIC Motor’s overall listing and private placement of shares, Huayu Automotive’s corporate bond issuance and private placement of shares, Black Peony’s corporate bond issuance and private placement of shares, the private placement of shares for China Tourism and Culture Investment Group, the listing of Hooyi Group on the National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ), and the short-term commercial paper issuance by Daning Group; outbound investment projects such as the establishment of separate joint ventures in Thailand by SAIC Motor and Huayu Automotive respectively, and Tigermed’s acquisition of US-based Frontage Laboratories and BDM Inc. Mr. Wang also provides perennial legal services to private equity funds including Haitong Xinchuang Fund and Anjie Investment, as well as listed companies including Spring Airlines, Black Peony, Tigermed and China Tourism and Culture Investment Group.
