Young Su Shin

Young Su Shin is a Head of Corporate & Finance Practice at Yulchon. His main practice areas are insurance, trust, finance and M&A. Mr. Shin has years of experience in providing legal advice on insurance and to insurance companies, trust, approvals and permits for financial institutions, and financial regulations (responses to investigations by the Sanctions Review Committee, Accounting Oversight Deliberation Committee and Capital Market Investigation Deliberation Committee), including advices to banks, securities companies, asset management companies, holding companies and other financial institutions. His finance expertise encompasses, structured finance, PF/real estate finance, acquisition finance, issuance of securities such as CB, BW and ABS and collective investment such as Fund, PEF and SPAC other financial affairs, and disclosure and substantive review upon companies, and IPO. Mr. Shin has extensive M&A experience including M&A between financial institutions, M&A of companies in workout programs and cross-border M&A. In particular, Mr. Shin has sufficient track records in providing legal advice on the entire area of insurance, including establishment of insurance companies and their branches and obtaining the relevant license, insurance and insurance products, insurance–linked securities, asset management, audit and sanctions, M&A, and overseas investment of insurance companies, reinsurance, trade insurance, guaranty insurance, tax issues related to insurance and insurance companies, antitrust issues of insurance companies, and claims for insurance proceeds or reinsurance.
