Yagmur is a partner in our Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury team. She advises and represents individuals in a wide range of personal injury and medical negligence cases.
Yagmur regularly acts for adults and children who have suffered catastrophic and life-changing injuries. In the last two years, Yagmur has settled claims worth an aggregate total of over £30 million, on a capitalised basis. Recent cases include high-value settlements for a child with cerebral palsy, an adult who received a seven-figure settlement arising out of an Occupier’s Liability Claim, a case for a woman who sustained significant and life-changing fourth degree tears during labour, an upper limb amputee, and a young adult whose professional career was derailed following a serious accident at work.
Yagmur is named in the 2024 edition of The Best Lawyers in the United Kingdom in both Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury Litigation, and was shortlisted for the 2018 Junior Lawyer of the Year category at the Law Society’s Excellence Awards.
Career
Yagmur graduated from the University of York with a BSc in Psychology in 2009 before completing the GDL at BPP Law School the following year
She completed her Legal Practice Course, and subsequently qualified as a solicitor in June 2013. She was appointed as a Partner at Bindmans in 2020 and is the firm’s Training Principal

Securing a settlement of over £20,000,000 for a child who sustained catastrophic life-changing injuries following a delayed cesarean section at birth
A multi-million pound settlement for a man who sustained a traumatic brain injury following a fall at public premises
Securing a significant but confidential settlement for a young adult whose professional career was derailed following an accident on a site at work
Securing a significant but confidential settlement for the widow and daughter of a young Turkish man who died in North Middlesex Hospital after a failure to correctly treat acute pancreatitis
Securing a settlement of £607,000 plus provisional damages at mediation for a woman who sustained fourth degree tears during the birth of her first child because the hospital refused to offer her a caesarean section. The case was concluded on the basis that she be allowed to re-open her claim and apply for further compensation at any point in her lifetime if she undergoes a permanent colostomy.
Winning secondary victim claims against a hospital on behalf of the parents of a 3-year-old boy who died of meningococcal septicemia following discharge from hospital after an incorrect diagnosis of chicken pox earlier on in the day
Securing a settlement of £99,999 for a woman who developed a chronic pain condition following the failure to spot her lungs had been punctured during a bilateral steroid injection procedure
Securing a settlement of £235,000 for a young man who was injured while in the passenger seat of a car driven by his friend who had smoke cannabis before getting into the car and did not have adequate car insurance
Securing a significant settlement in a road traffic accident case where the claimant chased down a car that was attempting to flee the scene of an accident and was injured in the process
Assisting Jon Crocker with a case on behalf of the family of a man who died as a result of an avoidable hypoxic brain injury after a failure to identify a cardiac arrest. The case was brought on behalf of the widow, children and extended family and settled for £585,000
Assisting Jon Crocker with a case on behalf of the family of a man who died from oesophageal cancer following a delay in diagnosis. The case was brought on behalf of his widow and 4 children and settled for £500,000
Personal
While at university, Yagmur volunteered in secondary schools assisting children with disabilities and learning difficulties with reading and writing.
Yagmur climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in September 2015 to raise money for the North West London branch of Headway, a charity helping those with acquired head injuries and also ran a half marathon in March 2019 to raise money for Headway.
Yagmur volunteers at Brent Citizens Advice Bureau’s Personal Injury clinic to provide free legal advice to people living in North West London.
She is a black belt in Shotokan karate.
