Mr. Zhu’s major areas of practice include dispute resolution, international trade, asset management and disposal of non-performance PE assets and project finance.
Mr. Zhu is the executive head of Tian Yuan Law Firm and an equity partner in Dispute Resolution Division. He has joined Tian Yuan Law Firm in 2002 and has a notable practice covering financial and corporate dispute resolution and is regularly mandated by many multinational companies and large domestic enterprises.
Mr. Zhu also has been engaged as the fellow professor at the Law Faculty of Peking University and for the experimental legal education program of China University of Political Science and Law, as well as the fellow appraiser of dissertation engaged by Renmin University of China.
Mr. Zhu has taken incumbency as the deputy head of the Civil Law Committee of All China Lawyers Association, and he serves as an arbitrator of Beijing Arbitration Commission.
Mr. Zhu has been admitted to the BAR of People’s Republic of China in 2003 and qualifies as the Forensic Chartered Public Accountant of the United States.
Mr. Zhu has published his monograph The Agreement to Agree under Chinese Law and wrote the China Chapter for Getting the Deal Through: Acquisition Finance 2014.
Mr. Zhu has profound legal expertise, extensive experience, and outstanding ability to analyse and solve problems. He can quickly and clearly articulate the complex legal relationships involved in a case, as well as capture the key issues of case handling. He has represented clients in hundreds of lawsuits before the Supreme People's Court of China, the Higher People’s Court of Beijing, CIETAC, Shanghai Arbitration Commission, etc., which involved a variety of substantive areas such as trade, investment, financing and mergers and acquisitions, corporate mattes, non-performing assets. He has also advised clients or acted as PRC legal expert for litigation and arbitration heard in the UK, Singapore and HK.
