Career
Wolf studied law in Tübingen and Freiburg. In 1988 he joined Bruckhaus Westrick Stegemann. In 1992 he became a partner and he moved with his team to the Berlin office in 1997. At Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, he established and built up the Environment, Planning and Regulatory Group. He also founded and led their global Low Carbon Energy Group. In 2018, he founded the premium boutique firm pswp with his team, specializing in environmental law and regulation. Wolf receives top ratings in national and international rankings for environmental and public law. He speaks German and English.
Experience
Wolf advises national and international companies and governments on the potentially controversial legal issues that often accompany major industrial and energy projects. From offshore wind parks, grid connections, refineries and power plants to large-scale mining activities, chemical industry projects and paper mills, Wolf brings decades of hands-on expertise to the table. He draws on this experience to help his clients navigate the often complex waters of environmental regulation, public participation procedures major administrative law and climate litigation cases. Wolf and his team are at the forefront of developments in energy projects and all matters relating to the carbon economy and environmental law.
