Public utilities, power producers, traders, and many others turn to Will Barksdale for their complex energy regulatory needs. Will’s extensive knowledge of the energy industry and his deep experience with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) position him to counsel clients on their most complicated energy matters.
Will has a strong track record of representing a broad range of clients as they confront FERC investigations and enforcement actions involving alleged violations of FERC’s anti-manipulation rule, duty of candor rule, and regional transmission organization (RTO) and independent system operator (ISO) tariffs. He also has extensive experience representing clients in administrative litigation before FERC and providing advice on FERC orders, regulations, and energy market rules.
In addition to his energy focus, Will also regularly represents clients in federal district and appellate courts. His experience as a litigator gives him unique insight into complex commercial disputes of all kinds.
Will has an active pro bono practice representing clients in affirmative and defensive asylum cases in the United States and in other related immigration matters.
