Experience
Violeta is specialized in international arbitration and litigation, as well as in competition disputes.
She has gained extensive experience in complex international arbitration disputes conducted in accordance with the rules of the major arbitral institutions across a wide range of industry sectors and variety of projects, such as construction and engineering, plant manufacturing, turn-key projects , FIDIC-based projects, large-scale privatization matters and other disputes in relation to share sales, real-estate sector etc. Violeta’s experience in international arbitration also includes representing and advising clients in ad-hoc proceedings and in investment arbitration.
In court, Violeta primarily pleads in arbitration-related proceedings, real estate and construction cases, competition litigations, disputes involving state aid issues and general administrative contentious.
Violeta holds a master’s degree in Business Law from the University of Bucharest. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and holds the Arbitration Practitioner (ArbP) diploma from the Swiss Arbitration Academy.
She is co-founder of YRAP – Young Romanian Arbitration Practitioners, a VIAC Ambassador for Romania and a member of the Executive Committee of the Rising Arbitrators Initiative.
