I have been a lawyer for more than 30 years, and over that period I have seen major changes in the market. Over the years I have never wavered in my commitment to my clients. I always work client-oriented, never subject or section oriented. I want to be a sounding board for entrepreneurs, not a one-item super specialist. It is my conviction that super specialization often creates tunnel vision that doesn’t really benefit the average entrepreneur. I don’t mind and even enjoy representing the occasional private individual. Given our commercial practice those cases are usually limited to employment issues, or director/major shareholder issues such as inheritance law.”

Career

Right after obtaining two law degrees from Leiden University (specializing both in civil law and business law), I chose to join a law practice that focused almost solely on commercial entrepreneurs.

Within our Lawfirm DayOne Legal + Tax, we still foucus on entrepreneurs. I also operate as managing partner and I am active with the education and provision of legal knowledge to younger lawyers within the team.
