Career
Veronica is a senior associate in the Civil and Commercial Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution practice group at Sanchez Devanny. Veronica has an LL.M. from University of California, Berkeley School of Law and her bachelor degree from Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey, Monterrey Campus, with honors; she also studied a year abroad at University of Essex. She is currently studying a masters in construction management at University of South California.
She holds several diplomas and has participated in seminars in arbitration, including the Arbitration Diploma ICC Mexico – UDEM (2017), the Arbitration Academy in Paris (2018) and the Seminar for Arbitrators by the Arbitration Center of Mexico (CAM) (2021).
She currently is vice president of the Arbitration Committee of ICC Mexico in Nuevo Leon; she was formerly the regional coordinator for Latin America of the International Chamber of Commerce's Young Arbitrators Forum (ICC YAF) and the ICC Mexico's Young Arbitrators Committee (2019-2021). Veronica has participated as a panellist in several national and international events related to arbitration and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, she has participated as arbitrator in the different UP-ICC Mexico Moot editions (2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020) and the ICC Pre-Moot – Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (2021), among others; she taught “Obligations” and “Persons and Juridical Acts” at Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey (2020-2022) and she currently teaches the Arbitration course from the Master of Business Law at Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey. She has also participated among the faculty of the ICC Mexico’s Arbitration Diploma (2019-2022).
