Tony specialises in all areas of immigration, asylum and nationality law and heads the immigration team in chambers.
He has also appeared in many leading cases raising issues of civil liberties and human rights including several times before the Supreme Court and as an advocate before the European Court of Human Rights and Court of Justice of the European Union.
Tony has a passion for those cases where the rights of individuals are in issue and is a campaigner for equality and social justice.
The roll of cases in which Tony has acted speak for themselves, some which have been reported internationally. Tony has a keen interest in cases raising discrimination issues and founds his practice on a strong sense of equality and, where necessary, readily accepting instruction pro-bono.
Tony holds an impressive reputation in the Midlands and has been for many years a favourite with solicitors and lay clients because of his down-to-earth, capable and responsive approach as well as his ability to quickly get to grips with briefs involving complex factual and legal issues.
Tony is often asked to write articles which are published and circulated for practitioner training.
