Practice Areas

Called to the Bar in 2016, Tony's practice focuses on commercial, securities and finance, regulatory and white-collar criminal matters. He is ranked as a "leading junior" for regulatory, investigations, and crime in the Legal500 guide to the Hong Kong Bar for 2026.

Tony is regularly engaged in investigations conducted by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX), and is experienced in handling SFO s.214 Petitions and s.213 Actions commenced by the SFC. Tony is experienced in handling investigations (including interviews and written enquiries) by the Enforcement Section of the SFC and Listing Division of the HKEX, representing listed entities, licensed persons, investors and also clients residing overseas in joint investigations conducted by the SFC and securities commissions of foreign jurisdictions such as Ontario and British Columbia. He is currently representing defendants in multiple ramp-and-dump cases prosecuted jointly by the SFC and DOJ.

In commercial disputes, Tony is experienced with handling contractual claims, injunctions, moneylender actions and bankruptcy and/or winding-up petitions.

In 2023, Tony sat as a Deputy Magistrate at the West Kowloon Magistracy, handling a wide range of criminal matters.
