Todd defends banking, consumer credit, lending, fiduciary and telecommunications clients. He also has an active practice related to bankruptcy and restructuring matters. Todd tries cases in state and federal courts and before arbitration panels across the country. He also handles substantial mediations and workout negotiations. His practice includes banking litigation defense of regional and national banks in lender liability and other banking-related litigation and consumer credit litigation defense of clients in consumer credit litigation matters, including claims related to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Truth in Lending Act, Home Owners Equity Protection Act and related state statutes. Cases include substantial class action suits. Todd represents telecommunications companies in varied contexts related to federal and state regulatory issues, contracts and technology disputes, and taxation questions. His representation of clients in bankruptcy and reorganization includes counseling of secured and unsecured creditors in all types of bankruptcy proceedings and the negotiation and documentation of loan workout and restructuring transactions.
