Timothy Polli KC is a versatile silk specialising in property law and the associated professional negligence, commercial and company/insolvency law issues that frequently arise in the context of property law disputes.
Tim’s real estate experience is wide-ranging, encompassing commercial and residential landlord and tenant, real property, service charges, development disputes, agriculture and rural affairs. He has particular expertise in relation to land registration, restrictive covenants, overage, rights of way and drainage, rights of light, trusts of land, proprietary estoppel, party walls and the rights and obligations relating to tidal and non-tidal rivers. He is an expert in the property issues arising from existing or proposed securities (such as mortgages) over land.
He is increasingly involved in disputes connected with building safety including the fire safety of tall buildings and the issues that arise when urgent fire-safety works are required (eg the replacement of combustible cladding (including ACM cladding) and/or restoration of compromised fire-compartmentation).
Tim’s commercial practice focuses on partnership and joint venture disputes, especially in the context of property development, and claims for the recovery of misappropriated monies.
