Tim Roovers

Prior to joining Sansen International Tax Lawyers in September 2022, Tim Roovers gained nearly twenty years of experience in estate planning, wealth structuring and private client advisory services, both in the financial sector and through his own boutique practice. He advises entrepreneurs, family businesses, high net worth individuals (HNWIs) and ultra-high net worth individuals (UHNWIs) on wealth preservation, succession planning and business transfers. His expertise includes family governance, family charters, corporate governance, succession strategies and preparing the next generation. Tim is known for translating clients’ ambitions and values into practical legal and tax solutions with a pragmatic, client-focused approach.

Tim is a member of both the Antwerp and the Brussels Bar.

He serves as an affiliated academic staff member at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), within the Department of Private and Economic Law, the Notarial Studies Programme and the Private Law Division. In this capacity, he is actively involved in academic research and teaches both lectures and practical seminar courses on a variety of private law and succession law topics.
