Highly experienced and respected money practitioner with a specialism in international jurisdiction cases and in high-value Anglo-German disputes owing to his expertise in the field and professional-standard fluency in the German language, including German legal language. He has additional expertise in Austria/Switzerland/Liechtenstein and also works/lectures in French as well as German. He is particularly noted for his skill in tackling complex jurisdiction issues. Recent work: Acted in the leading Schedule 1 jurisdiction case of Re C (a child) [2021] EWFC 32; and in NN v AS & Others, a case where a husband’s Egyptian wife was falsely claiming that the husband was worth £100 million (based on marital lifestyle), whereas the court ultimately found that the husband himself was worth only £340,000 and that the c.£10 million of English properties registered in the husband’s name, and claimed by the wife, were in fact still owned by his father and/or sisters.
