Thomas Liebscher practices in the areas of corporate law, the law of groups of companies and M&A. He represents clients before state courts and arbitral tribunals; he also serves as an arbitrator. His mandates include defending VW and Bayer against shareholder claims; representation of Qimonda AG in a multi-billion dollar dispute; representation of Mr Jaffé in his capacity as liquidator of the assets of Wirecard AG.
Thomas joined SZA in 1993. Previously, he worked as a partner at Shearman & Sterling (2000 – 2008). Thomas is a lecturer at various law faculties. In 2019, he was appointed honorary professor at Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg.
