Practice Areas

I am a lawyer specialising in regulatory and compliance matters in the financial and insurance sectors. I advise a wide range of clients, including credit institutions, investment firms, (re)insurance companies and intermediaries, and payment institutions, providing pragmatic and business-oriented solutions to complex legal and regulatory challenges.

My practice covers key areas such as financial regulation, compliance governance, anti-money laundering (AML), data protection, and corporate governance. I regularly act as a secondee or interim manager, taking on roles such as Head of Legal, Head of Compliance, AMLCO (Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer), or DPO (Data Protection Officer), thereby supporting clients both at strategic and operational levels.

I also serve as a board and committee member within financial institutions, and I frequently advise and train management committees and boards of directors.

I am fluent in English, French, and Dutch, and actively contribute to academic and professional training initiatives.

Personal

I am a proud (and often tired) father of two sons. In my spare time, I practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and enjoy video games. I consider myself almost unbeatable at Street Fighter II.
