Practice Areas
Theo Hanssen’s practice focuses on complex (cross border) restructuring processes, (distressed) M&A and corporate transactions. He has extensive experience with Dutch and foreign informal restructuring frameworks. He works on (distressed) transactions, represents clients and advises all kind of stakeholders on crisis situations. His work also includes advising directors, supervisory boards and shareholders.
Career
Theo is a laywer since 1996 and one of the founding fathers of DVDW Advocaten. He is a partner since 2004.
Professional Memberships
Theo is a member of M&A The Hague, INSOLAD, INSOL Europe and the Dutch association of restructuring (NvVH).
Personal
Theo is a guest lecturer on M&A and restructuring topics at the University of Maastricht and the Institute for Corporate Governance and Innovation Policies.
