He has extensive experience in the area of cross-border insolvency in large cases. His expertise covers a wide range of industries including banking, security brokerage, manufacturing, construction, retailing, real estate, hotel, golf resorts and fintech. He has been repeatedly appointed by the Japanese courts as the trustee in complex bankruptcy cases. Taro is regarded as one of the opinion leaders in the area of insolvency law. He frequently speaks at prestigious symposia and conferences, and has published articles that have been frequently cited by leading practitioners and academics in the field of insolvency. He also educates “Restructuring & Insolvency Practice” at Waseda Law School.
