Practice Areas

Tamara Farber is the national chair of Miller Thomson's regulatory/environmental practice group. Her focus combines her interest in environmental matters with civil litigation and commercial transactions, involving environmental issues. Tamara advises on brownfield redevelopment and contaminated land transactions, including investigating contaminated lands, environmental due diligence, audits, property remediation, site decommissioning, waste management, environmental compliance, environmental risk management, representations, warranties, indemnities, and navigating provincial environmental regulations and regulators. Tamara also represents clients on contaminated land claims, consultant negligence, remedial option and cost disputes, director and officer liability in relation to environmental liabilities, environmental insurance and environmental issues in insolvency. Tamara is also a member of Miller Thomson’s Executive Committee which oversees strategic and operational management of the firm’s 12 offices in Canada.
